A handful of awesome acts have just been confirmed for Coachella (April 17-19 in SoCal) including Fleet Foxes, the Hold Steady, the Killers and Girl Talk. The Coachella rumor-mill is also churning up artists like the Black Keys, Blur, Neil Young, the Pretenders, the White Stripes and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In other festival news, the Pemberton Festival, which broke into the scene last July in British Columbia, will not be going down this year.
Last year's festival brought in 40,000 people a day, but the event was plagued by dust and thunderstorms, as well as massive lines of traffic.
Good riddance!

pemberton had a wicked lineup, and its back for sure in 2010, they only cancelled it because the olympics are coming there and its bad pr to have such a traffic mess right before something so important. The lineup was unbelievable, way better than coachella, especially this years.

Pemberton was awesome but the traffic and dust did super suck, so I dont blame them. I heard there was rumblings at the festival that this would be the first and last. Best festival line up of the year though. Easily.
Cant wait to see the headliners for Coachella.

Yeah I'm definitely going to listen to the guy who works at rolling stone and runs the blog, not some guy who can't even give his own first name when dissing another on their own website. I think the point of all the "uncle cousins daughter" nonsense was to not give away any clue to who the real source actually is, so leave SS alone. I love this column in Rolling Stone and I visit the blog regularly so keep doing what you're doing!

uh... The "source" you quote uses the coacheela.com/forum as its "source", and the coachella forum lists "my best friends uncles cousins daughter who is an intern who works at rolling stone" as its "source".
CYou wanna pour some sand in that concrete confirmation ? Right now its water and lies....
