Here's the latest from Weezerville, thanks to a new Billboard.com story:
- Rivers Cuomo has just released the second volume of his home recordings, titled Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, on November 25th.
- The band is ready to release a comp of their B-sides, tentatively titled Odds and Ends. Says Cuomo, "They're great songs, but for some reason they didn't make the final cut for a record. They span a vast period of time from the very beginning of our career in the early '90s right up to the present day." As of now, there is no release date.
- Cuomo says that Weezer may tour with Oasis next spring.
- Weezer has recorded six Christmas carols, including "Oh Holy Night," that will be available for download for the iPhone game, Tap Tap Revenge. Cuomo has referred to the cuts as "classics."
- Cuomo recently wrote a song with teeny boppers Aly & AJ, but the track may have just been done for fun. Says Cuomo, "It was such a blast to remember how teenagers approach songwriting. Their minds just work so fast and the have no fear and no ego."
And there ya go.

Weezer is the greatest band of all time.

Btw, all of the demos released online from pre blue album to the Early album 5 demos was some GREAT WEEZER.

Blue and Pinkerton will always remain my favorites. Green and Maladroit were decent albums I thought. But Make Believe started a downward spiral, and The Red album is their worst to date. I can only listen to a good 3 or 4 songs on the deluxe version without turning it off. =(
I hope Odds and Ends will have some good stuff since The Alone albums were pretty successful

I agree with Nathan and JB that is.

I agree, the last good album by Weezer was Pinkerton and that was 12 years ago. I will still jam it and the blue album though. 2 GREAT albums. Anything past that I grew to old for.

I saw Weezer in concert a few years ago and they were amazing. It was a bit weird being the only person there old enough to buy beer though!! (the beer guy knew my order after a few trips, so that was cool! )

And here I thought the last two Weezer albums were B sides, you mean they've actually got worse shit in their vaults.

The Weezer/Oasis tour would be the greatest tour of 1996.

Wow, good news and good news! And good night!

If the weezer/oasis tour goes through then it should come to new zealand. Shows like that never come here.

Ah a complete B-Sides album. I will have to purchase it whenever Rivers and company decide to release it.
