While backstage at the American Music Awards, Paris Hilton gave us fair warning about her upcoming album. Turns out she's finished recording a second disc, the follow-up to 2006's ass-tastic, Paris

"I wrote all the songs," Hilton warned, causing those within earshot to collectively cringe. "It's very dance, like Kylie Minogue."

The album features production by Mike Green. After working with the Matches and Paramore, Green has decided that the time is right to commit career suicide.

Since Warner Bros. Records dropped Paris after her first disc, Hilton no longer has a label. Some confusion still remains on how her new disc will see the light of day.

"I'm figuring it out right now," Paris said.

Here's the latest from Weezerville, thanks to a new Billboard.com story:

  • Rivers Cuomo has just released the second volume of his home recordings, titled Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, on November 25th.
  • The band is ready to release a comp of their B-sides, tentatively titled Odds and Ends. Says Cuomo, "They're great songs, but for some reason they didn't make the final cut for a record. They span a vast period of time from the very beginning of our career in the early '90s right up to the present day." As of now, there is no release date.
  • Cuomo says that Weezer may tour with Oasis next spring.
  • Weezer has recorded six Christmas carols, including "Oh Holy Night," that will be available for download for the iPhone game, Tap Tap Revenge. Cuomo has referred to the cuts as "classics."
  • Cuomo recently wrote a song with teeny boppers Aly & AJ, but the track may have just been done for fun. Says Cuomo, "It was such a blast to remember how teenagers approach songwriting. Their minds just work so fast and the have no fear and no ego."

And there ya go.
