At their gig in Chicago on Saturday, The Roots announced their planned retirement from touring after March 2009.

The move was made to make room for their gig as house band for the Late Show, when Jimmy Fallon takes over for Conan O'Brien in March.

Sad.

I've seen these guys 3 times; with 311, on South Street to release Game Theory, and at Temple U.

They are amazing live and never cease to amaze me. They don't get as much recognition for their work.

This upsets me because its almost like they are completely selling out.
