Mitch Mitchell (at left), the genius drummer best know for his role in the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was found dead in a Portland, Oregon hotel room on Wednesday. Mitchell was a pioneer of fusion drumming. He was 61 years old and is survived by his wife and daughter.
R.I.P. Mitch Mitchell.
Long live the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
