Ex-Van Haleners Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony will team up with guitar master Joe Satriani and Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to form a supergroup -- tentatively titled Chickenfoot. The four played together last February in Las Vegas and have since hit the studio under producer/engineer Andy Johns to record tracks for an upcoming album.
"The style is high-energy, kick-ass rock n' roll," says Satriani. "We all bring to the table some unusual influences and then we also share a lot of roots. We'll draw from funk, blues and experimental. We know what we want to
get out of it. We want passages in songs that develop and we want
everyone's personality to be able to come out."
"I just got back last Wed. from a week and a half of recording with Sam,
Joe, and Chad, and all I can say is....F_K, the shit is ROCKIN!!!! NOBODY will be disappointed!" Anthony said of Chickenfoot on his blog.
They hope to finish recording by January, come up with a name less retarded than Chickenfoot, and release an album in April and follow it up with a tour.

What do you think would happen when you get 4 huge egos on stage together? Girls, Cars, Tequila...same o stuff here. This so called band will be done in 2010 so everyone quiet down.....
wow | October 10, 2009 12:02 PM
u people who hate are probably 13 and know nothing about life or music. Its about fun for these guys and as long as people are having fun as well, Rock on Chickenfoot!!!
Boldy | September 26, 2009 1:36 PM
Its boring. I've listened to it again and again to see if I can find something cool but the songs aren't catchy. Nothing sticks out. Putting it on makes me want to go and do something else. I'm disappointed.
Brad | September 21, 2009 5:46 AM
I just listened to a couple of their songs, and god they suck. I mean, obviously their all great musicians, but the songs are totally lame, laughable even.
Jammer | September 3, 2009 7:05 PM
Like a bad first rehearsal with 4 chords
of old smiling dad's friends saying "yea man this is fun"=sh!tty bar band group.
Not bad musicians just bad songs and writing!
duffman | August 26, 2009 12:01 AM
the fact that they couldn't come up with a better name that chickenfoot is pretty sad. look, i won't deny the fact that these guys are talented. but lyrically it's just not very good, and it's almost like they're trying too hard musically. hopefully older rock n' rollers dig it, but I think it's just a bunch of bored aging guys that are trying and trying, but just not succeeding.
Scott | August 21, 2009 1:04 PM
I haven't heard any songs yet, but I was looking forward to it until I read this stuff. I'll still be my own judge. I like all these guys and hope I'm not dissappointed. I'll get back with ya later....
Xteck | August 6, 2009 9:43 PM
Summing it up in one word. "Chickenshit."
This material is something any average musician could jot down on a napkin, even after downing a couple shots of any cheap whiskey.
Jonathan in Canada | June 22, 2009 3:51 PM
I have the full album. It's great rock. I'm glad they're having fun. Each is a legendary rocker in their own rights. It's amazing that Sammy and Michael were able to find a guitarist and drummer better than the Van Halen counterparts.
It sounds like they are etching out how they work together. It sounds very driven by Chad and Satch, currently. With Hagar throwing in some bluesy type of lyrics.
As a few have said, it's a welcome break from Nickelback, Coldplay and Lady GaGa.
Jogon | June 14, 2009 5:00 PM
I've listened to a couple of tracks and it's ok, nothing to write home about. One thing I like about the band and the music is at least they're trying to do something with rock. We need another early 90's rock Revolution. It probably won't happen again and I'll be forced to listen to Nickleback on the radio until the end of time, it's like being in Rock hell.
Baker | June 13, 2009 1:12 PM
This is the worst crap I have heard in a long time. I'm 42 and grew up with all of the artists involved and I must say I am totally let down. I can write better songs. Slapped together arrangements. Lyrics with the strength and depth of a paper plate. I must say they did manage to infuse the music with that "old balding guy" energy we all love so much! Pure crap.
Why the Hate? | June 10, 2009 12:31 PM
Look, I think people still cannot get over the fact that Sammy Hagar was in Van Halen. GET OVER IT! Van Halen was two completely different bands with DLR at the helm and Sammy at the helm. Both were very good. Sammy has never made any promises that he wants his music to change the world but rather people find a good time through it. So what if the lyrics aren't profoundly deep? So what if Satriani is in a group with these guys? So what if a the drummer from a premeire "alt rock" band is playing straight up rock? These guys are having fun doing something different. Sit back and enjoy the album and quit looking for more than that!
Steed GTR | June 9, 2009 4:29 PM
I will give them the benefit of the doubt and listen though. One thing I will say, is that I didn't hear a catchy hook that stayed with me and really can't remember any of the melodies after listening.
Steed GTR | June 9, 2009 4:09 PM
Listened and was very disappointed to say the least. They could have taken so many other directions with the overall sound and the song writing. I agree, FAIL. Hope Satch comes back around solo.
portheo | June 9, 2009 2:06 AM
Just heard them on Conan. If I was a balding forty year old I might have chubbed up a wee bit, but alas, no go. Insipid and worn out rock.
Wagatabuchunga | June 9, 2009 1:22 AM
I like each of the members respectively especially chad smith. but honestly this is just cheap rock that can be heard from garage bands all around america
The Only Amoeba | June 6, 2009 7:26 PM
People without musical tastes..... Pull your god-damned heads out your ass in it is really annoying for 90% of people to hate them. There is nothing wrong and with today's terrible music oozing out my speakers this is a breath of fresh air. Plus I have the album and it's great... Stop Hating "The Red Rocker" you want to complain, Open a Cantina, Market Tequila, Sing, Play Guitar, Get in Van Halen, And Make lots of Money... St. Louis is waiting...
mike | June 4, 2009 10:06 PM
the chili peppers suck every one has ,their own opinon, hagar sux the same over and over again, hey if i don't like something i won't bother with it, but people just have to express their opinions and that is their right
ColonelSanders | June 2, 2009 1:37 AM
Like most who posted here, I heard a few of the songs months ago, and saw some of the live stuff on Youtube. My initial reaction was favorable, but I wasn't blown away. But this past weekend I was lucky enough to hear the CD in it's entirty. I gotta tell you, it is absolutly the best album I've heard in a long time. If you liked VanHagar or Satch, you will definatly like Chickenfoot.
Mark | May 28, 2009 6:11 PM
This band is a joke. I am a huge Sammy fan, a huge Van Halen, and a huge Satriani fan. But c'mon guys - this crap sounds like something that a garage band slapped together on a 4-track cassette recorder. Not to mention that they are not playing any Van Halen or Sammy Hagar material on tour. You won't be getting my money this year.
FAIL
Funnyman | May 28, 2009 10:16 AM
Haha, I think most of the people here need to rethink themselves when they call the members of Chickenfoot pretentious pricks.
You guys have this "only the best for my ears" and a "I know the best and ONLY the best" mentality. The only pretentious pricks I see are you elitist douchebags who think their opinion is the holy opinion.
Amusing. Too bad no matter how much you analyze and hate, you've got people who like it regardless - because not everyone thinks they know more about music than they actually do.
Elistists are losers.
Ziggy | May 26, 2009 1:10 AM
I think it's time to give the rockin a rest, gentlemen. It's gettin' old...and so are you.
Sorry.
Badman Tony G | May 16, 2009 11:47 AM
Sammy will always do well and be a true rocker! Michael is a great bass player and performer and adds to the project, Chilli Peppers suck! But Satch no doubt if they tame him down a bit will pull it all together..I agree a few songs of his and im ready for a fuckin drink! Steve Vai would have been a better choice! I know who the teacher was so save your comments.Could of got Wolfie to fuck it all up!.Zakk Wylde would have been the best! Rock On!
Niven Smith | May 8, 2009 1:04 PM
Well it wouldn't be right if everyone thought chickenfoot was magic. I'm not a big fan of Hagar, he's a mouthy geezer, but isn't that what rock is about? Don't care how long it lasts, but i reckon chickenfoot is gonna be a breath of rock n roll!!
waicool | May 2, 2009 4:18 AM
been a rock fan since 1963. chickenfoot? meh...oh yeah, middle of the road sammy stuff. no dis on the players though.
no thanks, i'd rather spin bad company's first disc. sammy, your a clown and a pretentious prick.

b e batson | April 24, 2009 11:37 AM
this is best rock music i've in years. so it's manditory for most everyone to hate it. if everyone loved it it would be a bad sign. since the creation of rock'n'roll it was hated by the masses. LZ didn't even release singles 'cause only their fans cared about their music and they knew where to find it. don't get wrong these guys ain't LZ but they are as good as anybody who followed that trail. this is r'n'r & you ain't supposed to analyze it your supposed to crank it up and piss off your neighbors!
Hairy Parasite | April 24, 2009 7:39 AM
I think most of you are idiots. The potential for genius here will not be ignored. I have been in the studio listening to the tracks. This group is awesome. Someone needs to save Rock and Roll. Why not these bad asses. LONG LIVE HAGAR, ANTHONY, SATRIANI, AND CHAD (Will Ferrell) SMITH!!!
DuckKnuckle | April 22, 2009 8:47 PM
Hagar hasn't done anything worth a crap since Montrose. MA is ok. Satriani is like Malmsteen, it gets tiring listening to him after 1 or 2 songs. Chad Smith? RHCP suck. Can't imagine that anything from this combo will be worth spending my scratch on.
Dave | April 21, 2009 8:15 PM
I was always a big fan of sammy and VH and was very ecited to hear the team up with satriani and chad. Unfortunatly the only people who are going to like this grew up in the 80's. I love it but nothing but old 80's sound to the rest of the population.
Z--FLAME | April 21, 2009 11:10 AM
Please....anything with Satch well be good...but too many of you will not listen--just hate as you do.....rock on Chickenfoot...
PJ | April 21, 2009 2:36 AM
The two promo-song suck balls. I'll give the rest of the album a shot. The last 3 songs Sammy did on the Best of Both World's greatest hits sucked balls too. This is not good old rock and roll, it is suck balls music.
I can only guess that Chad doesn't get to rock out on drums like he does with RHCP. The anticipation on if the rest of the album sucks balls or not is killing me!

Satriani lover | April 21, 2009 12:52 AM
As much as I love Satriani and Chad Smith I failed to get excited about them after listening to 3 of their tracks. They sound so dated, if I didn't know the line up I'd probably thought that this is some hard rock band from the 80's.
I hope they come up with something fresh soon, or cf will end up being a band where the players have more fun than the audience.
CHICKENWING | April 20, 2009 4:32 PM
Just heard the tracks. It sounds awesome. I wouldn't necessarily it's "fresh" or "new" music, but, it's a nice change considering today's rock scene is complete trash.
I also wouldn't say it's going to be known for it's awesome storytelling. Sammy Hagar's lyrics were never about deep meaning, self-destructive memoirs or inspirational. However, he's voice is just as powerful as it was during the 5150/OU812 days and the music sounds like an amazing jam by great artists having fun w/music.

Hey All, This is rock where it should be in the 2000's!! It's about time because good ol' rock has been not around for at least the last decade!! Satch has finally found a band he can play with, and Chad Smith can finally show his chops as a wicked drummer. Michael Anthony as just the "other guy" in VH kicks ass!! Finally , Sammy stills kicks it out like the way he did with Montrose and of course VH!! I am still a Roth era VH fan, but you got it give this band credit since it came about from a jam sessions in Cabo!!

I know every album and song Sammy has done. It is easy to name at least 30 plus songs that are great. There are some albums and songs that just suck too. After listening to the two promo songs on the Chickenfoot website I can tell that this is going to be a great album. While the opening lyrics on Soap on a rope are not that inspiring, the song itself picks up pace and ends great. Down the drain flat out rocks. How anyone who even remotely liked Van Halen with Hagar can down play how good these two songs are, is crazy. All I know is that is has been a while since I've heard some great RNR. Hagar is and never will be the popular choice. For whatever reason people hold on to crazy Dave as their king. Don't get me wrong. I like old VH as much as the next person but give Sam some credit. Very few artist take over a band and keep it running. If I hear how 'Sam' ruined VH one more time, I will just puke. That is the lamest comment on the planet. This most likely will be Hagar's last album or songs produced. I really think he worked his hardest in years and asembled the best possible people to make his final music perhaps his best. I was happy he did Cosmic Universal Fashion; as it has about 6 great songs on it and it would have been a decent end to his career. With Chickenfoot he will definately leave on a high note.
Ras Fred | April 7, 2009 1:22 AM
Good point from Tim - I listened to the songs 5 minutes ago, and I can't remember a melody. I was really impressed with how good Sammy's voice sounded, but disappointed with what he was singing - it sounded like an improv scat melody, and not in a good way.
Led Zep is NOT a good comparison - and PLEASE don't try to say these songs have a lick of funk in them. Best of luck to CF, I would suggest they explore their common Blues roots more and I really hope the album stretches farther than these songs suggest.

I'm pumped.. chad smith is the most underrated drummer out there, and i've always been a Hagar fan (he was way better than Douchebag Dave)... it's good Mike Anthony is getting to play with some guys that have class as well as talent (NOT the Van Halen morons) and well... joe satriani is very tasty. It sounds like quite the recipe. I will buy it when it comes out.
Matt in CA | March 31, 2009 5:12 AM
Dave replaced Eddie with Steve Vai. Sammy replaces Eddie with Joe Satriani. When you’re the frontman of Van Halen and get the boot, to get even, go and put together a better band with a guitar god who’s better than Eddie. In your face, Van Halen bros. I’ve heard Chickenfoot’s two cuts and can see already that these guys are gonna make everyone say, “Van Halen who?” It’s a sweet, sweet moment of Zen and a damn happy day for Rock n’ Roll. Tear it up, Chickenfoot!
Dirty Duck | March 30, 2009 5:29 PM
Supergroups can be very exciting but 9 times out of 10 they never last. Granted Im NOT or will I ever be a sammy hagar fan...but believe me im not ragin' on this for that reason. I love ROTH but we all know besides the CLASSIC : Eat em' and smile
the rest was eh. Supergroups are becoming boring to me cause it's always the same ol shit. Some lead singer puts together a group...says its the best group of players he's ever jammed with and how exciting its gonna be. Ok...heard the new chickenfoot song. What do i think? It's a predictable song. The lyrics..the sound...heard it before. The video is cool (I own a 1970 chevelle and love musclecars!)but again...like it hasnt been done? I just dont think sammy is a good writer. The band sounds tight no doubt...but you're always gonna think: Sammy Solo or Sammy in VH when you hear anything by chickenfoot. THE GUY HAS HAD TOO MANY SOLO PROJECTS WITH TO MANY OTHER MUSICIANS! If you think i'm being a bitch do the homework fellas. This is just another side project like "the other half"
(didnt last too long did it?) and not even a year and a 1/2 later...another supergroup? C'mon! Sammy's def made his impact in rock music I'll give him that...but to say this supergroup is gonna be the next best thing? Aint buyin it!
CRASH | March 30, 2009 4:47 PM

What a great mix of musical genius!
Diamond Dave | March 29, 2009 9:48 PM
It always amazes me when people just put something down without really opening their minds to the idea/product.
Someone here mentioned that it is out of tune with todays music scene - WTF are you talking about? Are you actually listening to "todays music scene"? It blows. Beside Foo Fighters who out there is really relevent?
This project will rock you for sure, I can't wait.
Gary Bowden | March 28, 2009 2:08 PM
Isn't it amazing that certain people are saying negative things about this band and no one has heard of any of their songs yet?? The name,I can take it or leave it,but hasn't there been worse names for bands/groups?? I think today's music needs a shot in the arm because it has gotten predictable and mainstream and frankly, forgettable. The only way this supergroup doesn't work is if the chemistry isn't there.
Mike | March 27, 2009 8:54 PM

Loud angst ridden rnr never gets old. Maybe that's why "today's music scene" is so bland and uninspired? Or maybe it's because it's the product of the evolution of the marketing engine that is so perfectly tuned to feed the ears (and wallets) of the masses.
Rock is about taking chances. I hope these guys are ready to think outside of their respective boxes.
Robbie | March 24, 2009 2:02 AM

Jim Hubbard | March 24, 2009 12:28 AM
I just went to a private concert of theirs for Best Buy at the Grove in Anaheim and they were awesome. Sammy had great vocals, MA lowered the boom on the bass, Chad knocked the shit outta the drums and had more energy than most rockers that are 20 something, and duh Satriani laid down the law on his axe!!! Long live Chickenfoot!!!
anon.... | March 23, 2009 9:31 PM
Sammy's been around forever and done it all. He's worth more than everyone here combined. People are saying he's a no talent or getting lazy or whatever.....Please!!!! He's a beach bum who wanted to record some beach tunes so he did. He wanted a cover band so he put one together. He made more money and played with VH a lot longer than Diamond Dave (and I prefer early VH). He's having fun...isn't that what his business is all about? Having fun and partying? He's earned the right to put whatever kind of band together that he wants and I think it'll rock. And I hope i'm going that strong when i'm 65.
BA | March 21, 2009 6:53 PM
I guess negative people do not have anything else to do except talk smack about something they know NOTHING about
Obviously
Just heard the two songs on the site. Very experimental. I hope you like funk or blues with your R&R. Just like in kindergarten if you don't have something useful to share then don't trash it for everyone else. Opinions are like you know what. Unfortunately there are always people who are full of it and only want to spread their negativity because of their crappy lives.
THIS IS GOING TO KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim | March 21, 2009 11:27 AM
I found it uninspired and insanely out of touch with today's music scene. To me, what made VH one of the greatest rock bands was Eddie's ferocity coupled with Roth's stagecraft. As Eddie softened Dave's antics turned to unbridled narcissism and the band imploded. Again, to me, the songs here have captured the worst of Sammy (ok maybe not the worst as this isn't the Waboritas) and paired it with a Satriani that lost his sparkle after only two albums. I'm always excited when a 70s-80s band (band members) releases a new album, and the result is almost always disappointing - even for my beloved Scorpions. U2 being the surprising exception to the rule going from amazing to sucking back to pretty darn good. As for Chickenfoot, I've already forgotten the melody to every song - which is never a good thing. However, if this was a reality show I'd tune in every week!

Sammy's Wabo's are a fine band but because he runs the show it allows him to get lazy creatively. Sammy's always done his best work when he's working with a great guitar player like Ronnie Montrose or EVH. Hopefully Chickenfoot will give him a kick in the behind to come up with some great new songs.

I really appreciated the spirit Sammmy brought to VH, and it seems Mad Anthony shares that same spirit. The better half surfs with the alien, the red rocker eats a red hot chili pepper. This ought to be good.
Eric | February 20, 2009 2:46 PM
I had the pleasure of hearing some of the tracks from a studio rehearsal and I can tell you first hand that this project is the REAL DEAL! From the first note the hair on my arms, back and neck stood straight on end. The whole is much greater than the some of the parts and the parts are legendary. What’s in a name? From a strategy perspective the name “Chickenfoot” is a perfect fit…get rid of the high ego players and watch for looks of desperation on the opponents’ face. IMHO
Jmo ~ Sinnergy | February 20, 2009 11:14 AM
All these guys are great musicians who I've seen in their respective bands over the years...new stuff for a new era, and I think the name fits it well...I can't wait to see 'em live!!!
WingMan | February 20, 2009 10:47 AM
After seeing the logo for this band... it's a peace sign inside a rectangle,BTW... the name totally makes sense(duh!)... the Peace sign is the footprint of the American "chicken"... I see this as a hint that this is going to be a foray into the Jam Band world, and that's good news, here's to Chickenfoot @ Bonnaroo '09!
Wingman | February 20, 2009 10:41 AM
I dig the name and where it's coming from now that I see their logo... The Peace sign, the footprint of the American chicken... I hope they stomp some fresh tracks onto the Jam Band trail... Peace out!
Sal Molinare | February 18, 2009 9:31 PM
Love the name. It's fresh, it's funny and it's memorable. Do it.
CaboRaybo | February 14, 2009 4:57 PM
2009 Is The Year Of The FOOT !!
Anonymous | February 13, 2009 7:14 PM
wow,at least another good Sammy album.
Th last one wasnt thatgood.
And that with good Michael, shame Neal Schon or Gary Moore doesnt play guitar in Chickenfoot,
But Im sure it will rock
Rick H. | February 7, 2009 10:18 PM
I saw VH in the 1980s, I saw Sam also. I liked the work he did with Bass player Bill (electric) Church, and I have always liked Joe. I am a Bass player and Mike is good at the craft. This should be very interesting. ROCK ON DUDES!
OUCI81B4U | February 6, 2009 2:18 AM
Some have expressed a dislike for the name of the band. Please explain why. Chickenfoot seems a perfectly good name to me. I'm excited, regardless of whatever name they choose. see you at the shows!
Chris in TN | February 5, 2009 2:03 PM
Gotta keep that name. Chickenfoot. As goofy as it first appears...it's fresh. Looking forward to it...my bet is that it's going to rock!
Forrest Lee Jr | February 5, 2009 9:22 AM
Brilliant! I am waiting anxiously for some chickin pickin!
Joe and Mikey getting their funk on... I cant wait. Sammy will always be Sammy thats a good thing, Chad has balls to back it all up... this is gonna be some sick ass, twisted stuff. I haven't been this excited about a "rock" album in years!
Jon Snow | February 4, 2009 3:03 PM
Of the four guys, Chad is the only one with true grit...it might be just what the rest of the guys need.
JCL | February 4, 2009 10:53 AM
I think this is going to rock face! Bring it!
''pukester'' | February 2, 2009 1:13 PM

Aster rick | January 30, 2009 5:57 PM
Can't wait to see Sammy surfing with the alien! If you've ever seen Joe Live, you know what i'm talkin' bout! I love Eddie, but i've gotta say, this is the real deal! No ego trip! Sammy,Joe,mike and Chad! I'm in! They will kick your ASS!
Jester | January 29, 2009 9:01 PM
Chickenfoot Fover Baby! When's the party start?!?!?!
Scott viper | January 29, 2009 2:35 PM
Just the fact that Joe Satriani is as excited as he is say's it all! Joe turned down offers to play for DEEP PURPLE full time! He's not in it for the cash. He's a real musician! CAN'T WAIT TOO SEE THEM LIVE!
mlbolts | January 27, 2009 7:28 PM
whatever harry, hagar rocks the end. u must luv dlr.
Tim K. | January 27, 2009 4:08 PM
Though I believe in the abilities of each member of the group, I often find Joe's riffwriting and Sammy's lyrics to be pretty uninspired. That said, there's no way this band could be flat-out bad.
chip brandstetter | January 26, 2009 10:18 AM
This band is going to BRING IT.
Mad Max | January 25, 2009 8:26 PM
I think this album will rock us til our balls swell. I can't wait.
hawkei | January 25, 2009 4:19 PM
I think chickenfoot is so over the top it should stay as the name. The teaser sound great and it leaves me wanting more.
Keith T. | January 23, 2009 7:58 PM
This should be an awsome collaboration. Sam, Mikey, Joe and Chad are all great musicians. Sams solo work since his VH departure has been good but missing something. This lineup should take care of that. Can't wait for the release.
SharkByte | January 22, 2009 12:08 PM
Supergroups are only great when all members create a true collaboration and this is exactly what we'll hear with Chickenfoot.
This is an AMAZING group of musicians and the outcome will surely be "volume 11" worthy. This album will blow away anything that would ever come from the Van Halen camp if they could stop comparing egos long enough to actually record something.
CPD | January 21, 2009 4:01 PM
I have been a Satriani and Hagar fan for a very long time - I cannot wait for this cd to be released, and for a tour to begin! Now, if they could only get hooked up with Y&T for some shows!!!
Paul Kramer | January 12, 2009 11:09 AM
When you put this much talent together, plus the song writing chops of these guys and killer vocals how can anyone with a brain think that this could suck. It will be great!!!
Jamie | January 9, 2009 2:38 PM
I was just with Sammy down in Cabo on Monday and he said the name was still Chickenfoot and they were going to rock the F*kin house with this group of guys and will be out touring this summer. Can't wait!!!!!!
eric | December 23, 2008 7:58 PM
This is going to be one kickass show. Joe Satriani and Sammy Hagar together sounds awsome. Two shows in one. Then put Chad Smith and Micheal Anthony in ( It does not get no better than that)Rock and Roll.
HH DaCount | December 21, 2008 8:24 AM
What's in a name? Back in '68 everybody thought Led Zeppelin sucked as a name for a band. How wrong were they!
Sammy is a fun player just like Mike is.
And watching al those g3 dvd's it's proven that Joe is fun too. I've seen Chad play with Glenn Hughes; it funked it rocked, and if it's like that, Chickenfoot will be tasty!!!
With some of mikey's hot sauce and some tequila on the side everyone will be smiling!!!
Rock 'n roll!!!!
HH
jack | December 20, 2008 4:29 PM
If satriani's in it -- it'll be great.
Brent | December 17, 2008 8:08 PM
Come on guys who gives a shit about the name theres many great bands with terrible names. with a guitar god like joe that album will be mind blowing
Jordan | December 12, 2008 10:30 AM
Whether or not the band works well together or not, I'll be happy to listen to Chad Smith. He's an underrated and often overlooked drummer. With him making beats, Chickenfoot, as stupid as their name is, will have trouble making an album that's legitimately BAD.
Anonymous | December 11, 2008 2:48 AM
Hagar rocks!!! Check out the new song Loud off Cosmic Universal Fashion. If the new "Chickenfoot" album sounds anything like Loud it will be great. Van Halen is dead. Hagar and Anthony actually want to play music and have fun doing it.
JW | December 5, 2008 3:51 PM
This is going to be a great album for all ages and should sell multi millions. Why? JOE SATRIANI. This is guitar legend and an American great, is a master composer, a brilliant performer, and a highly respected teacher. If I know Joe any better, he will not accept anything but near perfection. I am enthusiastic and optimistic about the album. Chickenfoot is a horrible name.
Jim Mussmann | November 22, 2008 1:38 AM
How about the Traveling Wilbury's?
John Kiefer | November 21, 2008 5:11 PM
and sometimes supergroups really are super!
Anyone remember Blind Faith?
Dollie | October 11, 2008 12:13 PM
Supergroups have nothing to do with the whether or not the originals bands are together or not. Playing in other's bands is nothing unusual, look at QOTSA.
It's just that sometimes the supergroup really sucks.
Harry Peratesties | October 7, 2008 4:53 PM
Oh dear, this sounds horrible. Does Hagar have anything to sing about except tequila anymore? And, does this mean the Chili Peppers are done?
