Singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne has written a sweet love song for the White Stripes' drummer Meg White. The name of the song? "Meg White." Here's just a few of the lyrics:
"Baby you're the bomb. Oh Jack is great, don't get me wrong. But this is your song."
"Someday I'd like to take a walk with you, maybe ride our bikes down by the sea. Talk about most anything you'd like to talk about, and watch the sun going down, going down."
The rumor is that Meg loves the song and will be meeting up with LaMontagne at his show in Michigan. Not sure yet if they'll ride their bikes down to the sea and go down on each other.

Ray is married with two children. I don't think that this was a "love" song at all but rather a song of admiration. She seems very interesting, as is he, and I think he just likes her music as well as they probably are very similar in their extreme privacy. I love Gossip in the Grain and I think that Meg's drum playing is great too.
Also, I am a big fan of beards as well!

If you thought Meg White was "too cool for school" when you met her, then you weren't really meeting her. She's known for being wickedly shy, to the point of mild agoraphobia and constant anxiety attacks. But if Ray thinks he can woo her, and that she's the girl for him, then more power to him.
And while I don't dig the beard much, Ray's voice pours over me like a finely-aged whisky on a warm summer evening. Ahhhhhh.....

I hope she dates him...seems like a nice enough guy...afterall, I assume that if Ray takes the time to write a song declaring his love for Meg, he probably would treat her right...Meg just turned 34...I'd like to see her with a good guy

Ray Lamontagne is an amazing musician and could do way better than Meg White. Meg looks like she hasn't showered in ages and the White Stripes suck.

I met Meg white at a show in Morgantown WV, she was not very nice. "too cool for school' if you ask me. and that was before the white stripes were popular.
