Levon Helm and the Midnight Ramble Band hosted an epic jam session last night at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium -- home of the Grand Ol' Opry. With musicians from all over the world in town for tonight's Americana Music Awards, Helm hosted the pre-party.

Robert Plant and Allison Krauss sat in on "Black Girl," a folk traditional popularized by Leadbelly.

Sheryl Crow duetted with Helm on the Band classic "Evangeline."

Delbert McClinton did "Holy Cow."

John Hiatt, Steve Earle and Allison Moorer joined Helm on "The Weight."

The show concluded in epic style when everybody -- as well as Billy Bob Thornton -- jumped on stage with Helm for a singalong of  Dylan's "Forever Young."

Not a bad night.

I was at this show and it was unbelievable. My jaw was on the floor the whole night. Best concert I have ever seen. Rock on Levon!

What does the cutoff sleeve design matter?

Do you seriously think that's a valid comment?
