Got A Burning Question?

September 23, 2008 1:20 PM

Let's introduce a new feature to the S.S. site.

As we promised in our mission statement, we would like the S.S. to be a forum for you music fans to talk to your favorite musicians.

In a couple hours we'll be leaving the S.S. offices to spend the day with the Kings of Leon. Their sick new record, Only By the Night, is out today, and we'll be rollin' with the Kings to their Letterman taping this afternoon, and to their show tonight at Webster Hall in NYC.

So, click on Tips and send us the best questions you got.

Also, in the next few days we'll be speaking to Lucinda Williams, Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament and Lou Reed

Or if you're curious what your favorite artist is up to, we'll find out.

Bring it on!

Here's one for Lou Reed: "Hey Lou, do you remember doing your interview with John Holmstrom and Legs McNeil for the debut issue of Punk magazine way back in 1976? I just re-read it and it's hilarious, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it and those times back then."

Why be so damn average? Everything about your band, your sound, your look is so typical. Why not be daring? Try something new. Shock some people.

Why not make garage rock, hard hitting, dirty, bluesy sounding record like the first two records? Look, I know you gotta eat and want to do this forever and have a long career, but the new record just doesnt rock like the first two. It'll get a lot of radio play but it sounds like its gonna alienate a lot of your original base. I wish you a lot of success, and hope you make it down to South Florida again soon (to play a lot of your older songs).
