Last night at Wrestlemania XXIV, Snoop Dogg oversaw a women's tag team match that ended with him laying out a guy named Santino Marella. This was awesome for a number of reasons. First, it looked stiff as hell. Secondly, he immediately grabbed downed wrestler Maria and made out with her, because he's a pimp. Also, it was an incredible joy to hear WWE play-by-play guy Jim Ross shout "SNOOP DOGG!" over and over again.
Snoop's clothesline puts him in the top position among music-related Wrestlemania moments. What are the others in the top five? Glad you asked, and feel free to drop your favorites in the comments.
• Liberace and the Rockettes: For some reason, WWE owner Vince McMahon thought it would be a great idea to put these people in a wrestling ring at the inaugural Wrestlemania. For some reason, it worked.
• Willie Nelson: At Wrestlemania VII, a clearly stoned Nelson sang "America the Beautiful" before the show, and later is rumored to have stolen an actual championship belt.
• Salt-N-Pepa: The duo performed a remix of their then-hit "Whatta Man" to bring NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor to the ring for his match with Bam Bam Bigelow. It was twice as odd as that sentence makes it sound.
• Motorhead: For reasons beyond my understanding, Lemmy is good friends with wrestler Triple H. Motorhead perform H's entrance music and twice before have played him to the ring live at the show.

1. Cyndi Lauper managing WWF women's champ, Wyndi Richter at the first WrestleMania in 1985 at Madison Square Garden.
2. Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins crashing an acoustic guiatr over the head of a villain in way back in ECW.
3.
4. John Cene releasing "you can't see me", a legitmate rap album from a wrestler legitmate musical talent. It was not the best, but it was a lot better then Hulk Hogan and Mach Man Randy Savage's ill-fated voyages into music.
5. A band by name of Bro-kin, who performed the anti-establishment theme for
"degeneration X" live and in the ring as Triple H made his entrance for a Ladder Match against the Rock, with the prize being the WWE Intercontental Championship, WWE's #2 title. the live version of the song was not as good as the recorded one, but seeing HHH put the singer on his jakked up shoulders , yelling into mic with chorus, and destroying the band's drum set was pretty cool.
Honorable mention:
Aretha Franklin singing "America the Beatitfu" in front of 93,000 plus at Wrestlemania 3 in 1987.
Alice Cooper standing Jake the Snake's corner at Wrestlemania 2, yes...he held the boa constrictor.
Worst "rock 'n wrestling" moments:
Master P's ridiculous storyline in WCW in 2000. it sucked real bad
Hulk Hogan's rap/rock album that was ment to inspire the kids.
Macho man's rap album which is was unintentionally ment to cause seizures and all around discomfert.
Limp Bizkit performing at WrestleMania 19..yeah they let Fred Durst get in the ring.
