Zwan Cancel European Tour

Friday to be band's last date overseas

Posted Jun 13, 2003 12:00 AM

Two weeks into a lengthy European tour, Zwan have cancelled all dates following tonight's performance at the Nuke Festival in Austria. The cause of the cancellation was listed as "family matters" in a statement issued by the band.

The tour, in support of the band's debut Mary Star of the Sea, was to have run twenty-two additional dates in Europe, with stops on the festival circuit including Roskilde, Glastonbury and others. The last date was scheduled for July 20th in Lucca, Italy, with a performance at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan five days later.

Guitarist David Pajo referenced the cancellation in a post on his Web site earlier this week. "I'm really sorry for any complications," he wrote, "and we appreciate your continued support. We're all fine so please don't worry."
