What happens when you try to do a Gangsta music and you’re not a gangsta anymore? (If ever) You get a Cd like this one. People always say that hip hop is dead, but they never say that Gangsta rap is dying a slow death itself. I see what X to the Z was trying to do, but it didn’t work for me. Gangsta rap and hip hop is like oil and water it does not mix together well especially on a single project. I loved his first couple Cd’s I have them in my collection, but this one seemed like it was pushed through a cookie cutter. I really can’t tell who is responsible him or the record company, but this project seemed forced and maybe even rushed. Where’s Detox?
