Clef covers Floyd, Train win again and more

Wyclef Jean's The Masquerade, which will feature a cover of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and Bob Dylan's "Knocking on Heaven's Door," will be released on June 18th . . . Train won a handful of California Music Awards including Best Album for Drops of Jupiter, at April 28th ceremony in Oakland . . . Madonna will star in the play "Up for Grabs," which debuts in London on May 23rd . . . Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World and Starsailor will be featured in Music Choice's series which runs from April 30th through May 12th . . . Billy Bragg will release a "Tear Down the Union Jack," as a single on May 20th to coincide, and protest, Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee celebrations . . .

Joan Jett will appear in Prey for Rock & Roll, a new film featuring music by Hedwig and the Angry Inch's Stephen Trask, that will begin shooting next month . . . Carole King will receive the Johnny Mercer Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 13th in New York . . . Sting and Elton John make guest appearances on Lulu's upcoming album, Together, due May 20th . . . Trey Anastasio has added saxophonist Peter Apfelbaum to his touring emsemble, which is now a ten-piece . . . David Byrne will begin an eighteen-date European tour on June 8th . . . Joe Satriani's will release his next studio album, Strange Beautiful Music, on June 25th; the album will feature a guest appearance by Robert Fripp . . .
