This rating is not a recommendation. It is a warning. This Michigan trio is good at what it does, which is reducing heavy music to pure abuse: godless electronics, savaged-guitar squall, the barely human bark of someone singing inside a barrel of boiling oil. Imagine Grand Funk Railroad mainlining Metal Machine Music and you're halfway there. There is a song called "Rattlesnake Shake" here -- Wolf Eyes' overground debut after a fuck-you monsoon of below-the-radar releases -- but it is not a Fleetwood Mac cover.
