Born too late to have been a Hot Boy, this nineteen-year-old Louisianian spruces up and enlivens Cash Money's simple, grimy formula on his major-label debut. Despite fairly standard Dirty South synth-bounce, tracks such as "How U Ridin' " and the hot-shit single "Give Me That" are appropriately busy -- partly because his boyish drawl is jabbery and exuberant, partly because even his gangsta cuts sound like party songs.
