A.R.E. Weapons: Keys Money Cigarettes
"They're old friends of mine," says Gerner of these raucous New York electro-rockers. "The last song on Keys is mostly drums, but it's an anthem. It's perfect for when you just want to fuck shit up."

La Dusseldorf: "Time"
Though La Dusseldorf featured ex-members of Kraftwerk and Neu!, the band was one of krautrock's more obscure acts. "I'm a sucker for minimalism," Gerner says. "This is pretty much synths, drums and guitar. It's one of those things you put on and can just slip away for a moment."

Royal Trux: Singles, Live, Unreleased
This album collects odds and sods from one of the Nineties' most influential noise-rock bands. "This has definitely influenced us," Gerner says. "It's great junkyard rock & roll, and there's also a lot of avant-garde in their sound."

Three 6 Mafia: Most Known Unknown [Listen]
"They're fucking badass," says Gerner of the Memphis rap group. "The songs are all real catchy, but they're also really rough. Lyrically, I believe what they're saying more than I believe most hip-hop."
