New Material From Victoria Williams

new stuff coming

Posted Dec 09, 1997 12:00 AM

(NEW YORK) - Victoria Williams is an artist's artist: When she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis several years ago, her musical friends pulled together covers of her songs for the 1993 tribute album Sweet Relief: A Benefit For Victoria Williams, which spawned the single "Crazy Mary" by Pearl Jam with Williams on backup.|

Still, none of Williams' own albums have met with mainstream success. The impossible-to-pigeonhole artist and her label, Atlantic, are hoping to change that with the release of Musings Of A Creekdipper, due to hit stores Jan. 13. Expect to hear a yet-to-be-determined single from the set on triple-A and modern adult stations in early January, and keep an eye out for Williams on the road-a full tour of the States is planned for the spring.
