Carlton, Coldplay for Christmas

Jimmy Eat World, Ben Folds and others on new holiday album

Vanessa Carlton, Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World and Ben Folds are among the artists who contribute tracks to the upcoming Christmas album, Maybe This Christmas, due November 5th on Nettwerk America.

Carlton takes on "Green Sleeves," while Coldplay offer their version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and Sense Field do a guitar-driven version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

Folds, Jimmy Eat World and Neil Finn contribute the original holiday tunes "Bizarre Christmas Incident," "12/23/95," and "Sweet Secret," respectively. The album will feature artwork from Paul Frank, the artist best known for his famous monkey Julius. A portion from the proceeds of the CD sales will go to Toys for Tots.
