The life-long friends haven't really seen each other or worked together since Tupelo broke up back in 1994 following their only major label release, 1993's Anodyne on Sire/Reprise Records. A nasty dissolution followed a supporting tour, and each singer went on to form their own bands -- Farrar's Son Volt and Tweedy's Wilco.
During the show, Tweedy and his family watched Son Volt from the
VIP balcony, which overlooks the stage. At one point, Farrar
reportedly looked up toward his old partner before starting to sing
"Back Into Your World," a track from Son Volt's current album,
Straightaways. (AB)
