Dee Snider Hits The Big Screen

Dee Snider Hits The Big Screen

Posted Aug 26, 1997 12:00 AM

Watch out rockers, Dee Snider, that crazy, big-haired opponent of Tipper Gore's Parents Music Resource Center, is back. The singer who made it big in the mid-'80s with hits like "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" has written a movie.| Snider has a starring role in "Rune," a flic about a crazed serial-killing Internet surfer who goes after little girls by talking to them online. Who does Snider play? Well if you haven't figured it out already on your own -- he's the psycho. The movie also stars Kevin Gage, Elizabeth Peña and Woody Harrelson's brother Brett. The film begins shooting next week in Colorado Springs, Colo., and is being produced by Shooting Gallery, the same studio that brought us 1996's sleeper hit, "Sling Blade," so it could actually be a reason to spend eight bucks.
