Shakur's Hummer goes under the hammer, Distillers hit the road

A 1996 Hummer owned by TUPAC SHAKUR goes up for auction on eBay today, with a starting price of $500,000. The auction runs through August 23rd . . . BACKSTREET BOY KEVIN RICHARDSON has launched the Music Workshop, a new training academy for performers and songwriters in Lousiville, Kentucky . . . The DISTILLERS will begin a fifteen-date tour on September 5th in San Diego . . . To mark the release of their new singles collection, the LONDON SUEDE will perform all five of their studio albums in their entirety over five nights in London starting September 22nd . . .

MICHELLE SHOCKED's Short, Sharp, Shocked will be reissued on September 23rd with a bonus disc featuring twenty-one rare studio outtakes and live performances . . . MOGWAI kick off a twenty-six-date North American tour in Toronto on September 2nd . . . KELLY OSBOURNE cancelled the remainder of her European tour due to "health reasons" . . . DAVE HOLLISTER will release his new album, Real Talk, on October 21st . . . CHARLOTTE MARTIN will begin a seven-date tour tonight in San Francisco behind her new EP, In Parentheses, before beginning work on her full-length debut, due next year . . .

Canine-centric rapper DMX plans to launch Boomer 129, an exclusive clothing line for dogs, later this month. The line is named after his beloved pit bull, who happens to be tattooed on his back. DMX is also developing a Saturday morning cartoon based on Boomer, though no release plans have been set. His fifth album, The Grand Champ (a dog fighting reference), which DMX insists will be his last, is due September 16th . . .

A documentary about the making of MARY J. BLIGE's Love and Life will be included in a limited edition version of the album, due August 26th . . . BONO will host the debut of the Lost Highway Radio Show, which will begin airing in sixteen markets in late-August. The first program includes a ninety-minute LUCINDA WILLIAMS concert from New York City in May 2003 . . . JACKSON BROWNE is lining up dates for a solo, acoustic tour to launch in October . . . CULTURE CLUB's first three albums -- Kissing to Be Clever, Colour by Numbers and Waking Up With the House on Fire -- will be reissued with bonus tracks on October 7th . . .

LISA MARIE PRESLEY will launch a headlining tour on September 13th in Las Vegas . . . Two men are suing SEAN "P. DIDDY" COMBS claiming that the rap mogul's security team assaulted them at his New York studio in August 2002 . . . JETHRO TULL will release A New Day Yesterday on DVD on September 30th. The video includes footage from the band's twenty-fifth anniversary tour in 1994 . . . Clintwood, Virginia, is planning to build a new museum to honor bluegrass legend RALPH STANLEY who hails from the town. The museum plans to open next May . . .
