London born tunesmith Tricky has signed a deal with DreamWorks Records, an entertainment concern run by Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, David Geffen and Jeffery Katzenberg. The deal will allow Tricky to start his own label, Durban Poison, which will operate under the DreamWorks umbrella. The artist has mixed, produced and re-mixed big names like, Neneh Cherry, Bjork, Bush, Notorious B.I.G. and Elvis Costello. (BB)
