Produced by Brendan O'Brien (Bob Dylan, Neil Young), Shine is Anastasio's first album since the dissolution of Phish. Included among the twelve new tracks, which Anastasio has been road testing this past year with his backing ensemble 70 Volt Parade, are "Tuesday," "Invisible" and "Come As Melody."
"I like moving forward," Anastasio told Rolling Stone about his solo career. "I like having new stuff and new people to play with."
Anastasio will also open for the Rolling Stones on October 6th and 8th, and perform at the Vegoose Music Festival on October 28th in Las Vegas.
"It's the toughest gig in the world," Anastasio says about opening for the Stones. "Hopefully we won't get bottles thrown at us."
