A Gentle Evening with Townes Van Zandt
2002
Townes Van Zandt was a big secret even in his native Texas when he made his debut at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1969. This is the gig in full, his haunted voice and verse in their naked youth. Van Zandt's death in 1997 was a great loss to American song; this is a precious addition to his legacy. dualtone.com
