Album Reviews

On 2002's Built From Scratch, this New York DJ collective recruited a host of guest MCs to give a more recognizable face to its danceable scratch-wizardry. Like that album, Revolutions presents an unwieldy mix of guest vehicles and dance-floor jams, with a Rob Zombie-led remake of "More Human Than Human" taking the prize for best crossover novelty. Much of this rocks and/or bounces aplenty, but too many forgettable concoctions make this just another so-so DJ mix.
