Tommy by The Who is a very well put together rock opera. It pretty much has every thing, a story, characters, good visualizations, etc. The album is about a deaf, dumb, and blind boy named Tommy who has a family that wants to help him, but can't due to his senselessness. Though he did have his nasty Cousin Kevin, and his sexual preditor uncle Uncle Ernie to bring him down. Tommy then finds a strange absession with pinball. After becoming a Pinball Wizard, he undergoes a mirical cure, enabling him to hear see and speak. He then starts his own holiday camp to show people how it felt to be a deaf, dumb, and blind boy with nothing to do except play pinball. After listening to Tommy, it gave me a completely different view on The Who in general. I'm now a deffinite The Who fan now and I'm looking forward to getting some more of their albums in the near future.
