Perfectly acceptable, if not underthought "best of" album that covers The Who's career from 1964 to 1978 (and only their second compilation album up to that time). Most likely released by MCA to cash in on the FACE DANCES album (released by Warner Bros in 1981), which might explain the bewildering omission of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Love, Reign O'er Me" in favor of "The Song is Over" and "Drowned" respectively. Being a 2 record set, it was most likely too extravagant for the casual Who fan, but the lack of any previously unreleased material made it obsolete for Who fanatics.
