Wallflowers Get Top Noms in American Music Awards

Nominees for the American Music Awards have been announced and the Wallflowers may end up on top.|

The band that has skyrocketed to the top of the charts in the last year picked up three nominations -- favorite band, favorite new artist and favorite album. On Jan. 26, Jakob Dylan and company will go head to head with the likes of Spice Girls and Puff Daddy, who were both nominated for favorite new artist.

The awards show will air live at 8 p.m. (EST) on ABC on Jan. 26. Other acts nominated include Erykah Badu, Jewel, Matchbox 20, LeAnn Rimes and Celine Dion. Hanson, Spice Girls and Puff Daddy are scheduled to perform. (Ari Bendersky)
