New album due in March

Neo-grunge Aussies the Vines have lined up a twenty-four-date tour in support of their much-anticipated second album, Winning Days.

The group will hit the road starting March 11th in Houston, just days before the album's March 23rd release. So far, the dates will keep the Vines on the road into mid-April.

As with the group's platinum debut, Highly Evolved, Winning Days paired the Vines with producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith), who recorded the album last May in Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York.

"We considered just re-recording the last album," frontman Craig Nicholls told Rolling Stone. "[But] I have a lot of ambition. We want to keep moving forward and up. Not up in terms of record sales, but in terms of overall satisfaction."
