Seahorses Drummer Bails Before Tour

Posted Sep 24, 1997 12:00 AM

If you were about to embark on a full-fledged European tour with the Prodigy, would you bail at the last minute? That's what the Seahorses must be asking their drummer, Andy Watts|, who left the band just days before the tour is set to kick off in Moscow on Sept. 27.

England's music weekly, NME, reported the split was due to musical differences. However, NME also noted that Watt and his wife recently had a new baby and that the drummer is perfectly happy staying at home. The Seahorses have enlisted a touring drummer to take Watts' place for their opening spot on the tour. (Ari Bendersky)
