The Ramones

Metallica leading Lollapalooza made great business sense in the short term, selling lots of tickets to metal fans while delivered a new audience to festival dates. There were also acts on the bill with real alternative bonafides, from the Ramones to the Screaming Trees, but Metallica's presence shattered Lollapalooza's core identity and sense of community. If Farrell was no longer involved, how could fans possibly see it in the same light?
