(NEW YORK) - An article in Thursday's Los Angeles Times has focused attention on the new Prodigy single "Smack My B*tch Up," which Janice Rocco, president of the L.A. chapter of the National Organization for Women, said advocates violence against women.|

In related news, MTV will show "Smack My B*tch Up," Prodigy's controversial new video, despite its nudity, sexual content, explicit lyrics and depiction of drug use. MTV will show an edited version of the video, in which the subjective camera technique makes the viewer vicariously sniff drugs, get into fights and have sex. It will be shown only from 1-5 a.m. in a late-night, early-morning rotation and will include a disclaimer.

The network will premiere the video during its "120 Minutes" show accompanied by a rating and a disclaimer, a network spokesman said.
