Shane MacGowan, the former frontman for the Pogues, was arrested Sunday night in England.|

MacGowan, who was performing for more than 700 fans at the Liverpool University students' union, allegedly threw a microphone stand into the audience. It is not known whether anyone was injured in the incident.

A spokesman for MacGowan couldn't be reached by presstime, however the singer hasn't been charged and was released on bail pending further investigation. (Ari Bendersky)
