Bosstones Discuss New Projects

Posted Oct 10, 1997 12:00 AM

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have logged more road miles than most god-fearing long-haul truckers do in a lifetime promoting their latest platinum album, Let's Face It. Now, the group is releasing a video compilation called Video Stew. | The collection features Bosstones promotional clips and a "bonus track" called "The Common Decency," which will be exclusive to "Video Stew."

In addition to Video Stew, the Bosstones will be working on their next video project, a standard length video for "Royal Oil," starting immediately. According to guitarist Nate Albert, "We're doing it with our main video homey Chris A. We're smashin' pumpkins in slow motion...something like that."

Albert explains further: "We're going to shoot the video somewhere close to (bassist) Joe Gittleman's house outside of Boston. We ended up going with (lead singer) Dicky's (Barrett) idea. Though I am not all together sure what we are doing, I am going to be going with the flow anyway. After we shoot the video we have another two weeks then get a few days off in NYC for SNL which will be on Oct 25." (Brandon Barber)
