The Lox have finally gained their independence from Bad Boy after aprolonged conflict with the label that played itself out over the airwaves| of New York radio station Hot 97 (WQHT).

Bad Boy CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs broke the news this morning on Hot 97. BadBoy spokesperson Juanita Stephens confirmed that The Lox are no longer onthe label, but she refused to provide details.

The other side was also typically mum. Repeated calls to Bar Management,the Ruff Ryders management division which handles The Lox, and Ruff RydersEntertainment also yielded no comment. - Adam Matthews
