biography

They have produced but one twitching, energized album under their own name, but cutting-edge production team the Dust Brothers (John King and Mike Simpson) are responsible for a couple of the most important sampledelic albums of the '80s (Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique) and '90s (Beck's Odelay) and even produced one of each decades' most indelible pop songs (Tone-Loc's "Wild Thing," Hansons' "Mmmbop"). The soundtrack to Fight Club -- also known as "The Dust Brothers's Long-Awaited Debut Album" -- blends whip-crack drum and bass, electro thud and razor wire rock guitar into a kinetic stew that mirrors the film's strung-out anxiety.
