Five soldiers from a Pittsburgh Air Force base, the Dell-Vikings underwent several line-up changes because of shifting tours of duty and eventually became pop's first successful multiracial group, on the strength of "Come Go With Me." Bass singer Quick penned the song, which the group recorded one night in a Pittsburgh hotel room.
