A tossed-off EP from a worthwhile band, We Are the Radio finds the Brian Jonestown Massacre wrenching cockeyed tunefulness from psychedelic squalls and pawnshop electronics. "Time Is Honey (So Cut the Shit)" sounds like leadman Anton Newcombe's nemeses the Dandy Warhols minus the pop sheen; the vaguely Middle Eastern "Never Become Emotionally Attached to Man, Woman, Beast or Child" pretty much sums up his worldview, even if he sweetens the deal by having an angel-voiced friend sing it for him.

Anton is a Master of Arranging. He is capable of creating
symphonies, no doubt. This album is a perfect example of that.
He realy makes some wonderfuly uniqe sounds all sorts of
synthesizers, and guitars, and any instrament you can think of.
Instead of Anton singing, there is this girl with one of the
greatest voices you have ever heard. BJM has gon from raspy to
angelic. They are and always will be the greatest band ever,
ever.
