Things have been quiet in the Black Crowes camp since they completed last summer's Furthur Festival. However, the band now has a special gift for their fans.|

While many people have been awaiting news of a new Black Crowes album, the band recently sent out 11,000 cassettes to members of Taller, their fan club. The Crowes recorded a version of the Beatles "Do You Want To Know A Secret" with their new, still-unnamed, bass player, who replaced longtime member Johnny Colt. Colt, if you remember, parted ways with the Atlanta-based outfit earlier this year.

The Crowes have also included holiday greetings on the cassette, recorded in five languages -- English, Spanish, French, German and Ukrainian.
