Biography
A classic mid-'60s protopunk garage band, the Barbarians boasted a
drummer named Moulty who had a hook for a left hand (the result of
an accident with a homemade pipe bomb when he was 14). He sang many
of the Barbarians's songs, including the autobiographical "Moulty"
(#90, 1966), in which he implored, "Don't turn away," and spoke of
