Lords of Dogtown: Music From the Motion Picture  Hear it Now

RS: 3.5of 5 Stars

2005

This soundtrack to the film account of Venice, California, skateboarding pioneers doubles as a righteous collection of Seventies rock that mostly bypasses overplayed oldies in favor of less obvious anthems ripe for revival. Social Distortion respectably cover the Clash but prove themselves no match for T. Rex's "20th Century Boy" and Nazareth's insanely rocking "Hair of the Dog."
