The Academy Is ...
Bamboozle vs. Warped Tour
William Beckett: Warped Tour has a little more hair on its chest. There's a little more history to it. Bamboozle is a nice weekend vacation, whereas Warped Tour is like the rock & roll circus that goes on for two months.
If I had five minutes alone with Snoop Dogg ...
Adam Siska: I would like to smoke a marijuana cigarette with Snoop Dogg.
Beckett: I concur.
Siska: That's just about it. He doesn't have to say much. Not that I condone that behavior, not that you should do it kids, but if you meet Snoop Dogg go for it. Only smoke if you meet Snoop Dogg, is what I'm saying.
The best part of playing a festival with Bret Michaels:
Beckett: Everything?
Siska: When we were playing Warped Tour two summers ago in Jersey, [guitarist] Mike Carden and I drove to PNC Bank Arts Center to see Poison perform, and I met Bret Michaels. I looked at his spray-on tan and his wig and said "Fuck Yeah!" That's the best part right there.
Who are you looking forward to seeing?
Beckett: Tyga and Gata. I'm excited to see a hip-hop act is signed to Decaydance, that it's expanding. What can make Decaydance a real record label is that each of these bands are different, and it's not just one sound.
