Album Reviews
Unlike most indies, Aware supports absurdly radio-friendly bands: Over the years, the Chicago label has championed Hootie and the Blowfish, Better Than Ezra, the Verve Pipe, Vertical Horizon, Five for Fighting, Train, Shawn Mullens, John Mayer and Matchbox Twenty. All of the above are included in this disc of singer-songwriter rock that somehow feels rootsy while sounding corporate.
