Elvis Costello: Radio Radio [Listen]
Costello's 1978 rant against corporate control of the airwaves contains, "some of the best lyrics ever written" according to the Canadian pop punker.

Oasis: Live Forever [Listen]
"Oasis and the Beatles are tied as my favorite bands," says Whibley, who got into Oasis when the group released this single from 1994? Definitely Maybe. "It sounds as great today as it did then."

The Clash : Clash City Rockers [Listen]
"When Joe Strummer speaks, you listen," says Whibley, who discovered the Clash in ninth grade when a friend of his mom gave him her vinyl record collection.

Iggy Pop: The Passenger [Listen]
Whibley cites the Stooges' leader as his single biggest inspiration: "If it wasn't for Iggy, none of the bands in our genre would exist."

The Cure: Boys Don't Cry [Listen]
"Ballsy song, ballsy band," says Whibley about this 1979 single. "It's way cooler than their bigger later songs."
