As synthetic international superstars go, the sprightly teens known as Sugababes may never be as big as the Spice Girls, but they're jiggier than Roxette and even more gangsta than All Saints, as they will tell you themselves in their deliriously stupid electro-banger "Nasty Ghetto." The husky, hand-clap-drenched "Hole in the Head" clip-clops along like Destiny's Child on diet soda, and that's good, but "Freak Like Me" is actually great: It's an official version of a bootleg mash-up of Adina Howard and synth-pop pioneer Gary Numan, and when the girls squeal, "It's all good for me," just as Numan's ghost turns his Moogs up to eleven, even the most jaded aesthetes tend to scream like little girls.
