Album Reviews
Yo La Tengo, Los Lobos, J Mascis, Widespread Panic and other divergent rockers come together for an uncommonly playful and consistently pleasurable tribute to one of the most eclectic bands to come out of the Sixties. Steve Earle and Bonnie Raitt sound particularly liberated, but even they can't beat the cast of SpongeBob SquarePants, which acts and sings in a surreal seventeen-minute "audio cartoon" packed with NRBQ cult classics.
