Bob Marley: Exodus [Listen]
"Musically, my father was very comfortable then," says Stephen, who was five years old when his dad's rousing 1977 song and album of the same name came out. "He revolutionized music with that album."

Bunny Wailer: "Crucial" [Listen]
This protest anthem form the legendary reggae star was used as the theme song for the Jamaica Labour Party in the 1980 elections. "That song was the voice of the people in Jamaica," says Stephen

Nina Simone: "No Good Man" [Listen]
"She loves this man, regardless of his faults," Stephen says of the classic jazz tune, originally sung by Billie Holiday. "He loves her the way she wants to be loved, and that keeps her in love. I love that."

Lupe Fiasco: "Kick, Push" [Listen]
"I used to ride a skateboard when I was younger, in Jamaica," he says. "Him represent that culture. I don't listen to much hip-hop these days, but I like that."

James Brown: "Please, Please, Please" [Listen]
The godfather's first hit, from 1956, is "the simplest, wickedest tune I've even heard," says Stephen. "The groove was unbelievable."
