Spiritualized is the first band to confirm a headlining spot on next summer's Glastonbury Festival.|

Spiritualized will perform on June 28 on the second stage, a spokeswoman at Arista Records confirmed. Also, a live album is in the works. That show was recorded at their October Royal Albert Hall show in London. The CD has a tentative release date of April.

So why a live album now? "Spiritualized was set up more to be a live band," Pierce told JAMTV last month. "I guess we made records as a means to get out and play live." (Ari Bendersky)
