Brown was one-third of the Organized Noize production team that helped perfect the thick, earthy sound of OutKast and Goodie Mob in the 1990s. Tracks like the brilliant, fluttery "I'm Soul" traffic in the same spaced-out funk and freaky sensuousness for which his friends became famous. But many of Sleepy's songs sound oddly unfinished, relying too heavily on his insistent falsetto. He may have a way with hooks, but he occasionally needs help with the rest of the song.
