Crow, 'N Sync Join Olympics

Smash Mouth, Bon Jovi also set for Salt Lake City

Sheryl Crow, 'N Sync and Smash Mouth will join previously announced performers the Dave Matthews Band, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots and the Foo Fighters in a series of nightly concerts during the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.

The Hallmark Olympic Celebration concert series kicks off February 9th, the first full day of competition, with DMB, and continues though February 24th, the final day of the 2002 Games. Brooks and Dunn, Train, Marc Anthony and Martina McBride will also headline nightly concerts, with more acts to be announced.

The hour-long concerts will be held at the Olympic Medals Plaza, and NBC will broadcast one song from each evening's performance as part of their television coverage.

The closing ceremonies, scheduled for February 24th at Salt Lake City's Rice-Eccles Olympic Stadium, will also feature 'N Sync, as well as Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Harry Connick, Jr. and Charlotte Church.

Robbie Robertson, meanwhile, is among the songwriters commissioned to write music for the Games' opening ceremonies.
